911 was my call to Ashley for help with my dog. She came and observed, diagnosed and the plan was made. My dog would stay with her a month and be trained. The result was truly unbelievable and my dog went from Miss Rambunctious to an incredibly well behaved dog who actually is so pleasant to be around. Her technique works and has had lasting results. I do believe she might be a dog whisperer. The most wonderful thing was when we went back to board over night my pup was so happy to see her! She’s REAL and a gift to both the human and canine!!

How can we thank the person who made such a huge difference in our lives!?

After thoroughly researching and interviewing professional dog trainers in Charlotte, we were very fortunate to meet Ashley Arnold. Our German Shepherd, Oakley, was a young, smart, powerful and energetic dog who needed some serious obedience training. Well, let me rephrase that “we needed the training”. We learned quickly from Ashley how our habits had inadvertently taught Oakley poor behaviors and created a general (but very friendly) “bounce off the wall” dog with little discipline.

After working with Ashley and following her program, Oakley is now a superbly well behaved “off-leash” trained shepherd—in fact; she’s actually a school dog! She loves kids and is really more “human” than “dog” now! Oakley is truly the pride of our family. It’s incredible that we have a 70lb German Shepherd that knows (and follows) over a dozen commands and is even happier now (as are we) that she can readily please us by following our instructions. I cannot help but pity all the loving dog owners out there who “walk” their dogs and are literally dragged down the street by an excited, unmindful dog. We now easily walk Oakley in a heel command—the days of sore shoulders or embarrassing out of control dog-pulling moments are behind us.

I wish we’d met Ashley earlier in life so she could have helped with our previous dogs. The trust and enjoyment we now have with our shepherd—because of her obedience training—brings an incredible peace of mind.

Ashley’s knowledge, professionalism, patience, love & humor (your relationship with your dog should be fun!) has turned us into very happy dog owners. We highly recommend Ashley Arnold.

Kinley went to board and train with Ashley with an undisciplined high school diploma and came back with an obedience PhD! Very happy with the results.

Ashley has a way with dogs that is truly remarkable! Wallace absolutely loves her. We hired Ashley for puppy consultation through his first two months and I can’t imagine surviving it without her! She has curbed Wallace’s behavior problems (biting, barking), and helped me learn how to be an effective puppy parent. After Wallace boarded with Ashley he came home a happier and more well-mannered dog. Ashley communicates with dogs in ways they understand best; as a result, her methods are amazingly effective. At 16 weeks old, Wallace is now crate trained, house broken, playing fetch, and following basic commands (sit, down, come, stay). I could not be happier with her services...the results are invaluable!

I cannot say enough good things about Ashley and AAA K9 Academy! We were having trouble with two of our dogs fighting, one of which was a stray we took in. We sent her to live with Ashley and in two weeks the turn around was remarkable! Ashley was great in keeping up communication with us throughout the entire process and was always available to answer questions. She even drove an hour and a half to come to our house for a follow up several weeks after getting our dog back. Now our dogs are a happy little pack and we’re thrilled! I highly recommend!!

Ashley was referred to us by a friend when we were looking to get our Shepherd/Malinois mix trained. Dozer is a part of the family, but a handful. We live in a neighborhood with many dogs and he was dragging me down the street reacting to all dogs we passed. It was always stressful to walk him. Ashley came to work with us on a weekly basis and when I was still struggling to control Dozer she took him for board/train. When he came home he was a different dog! I could walk him down the street easily no matter what we encountered. We can now take him to run and play off-leash confidently knowing he’ll come back to us when called even with kids and other dogs all around. It’s been fantastic! Thanks so much Ashley!

I found Ashley while searching for dog trainers in 2013 after rescuing my German Shepherd, Cody, who was 1 year old at the time. I hadn’t ever personally owned a big dog and wanted some help in making sure I handled him instead of him handling me. Ashley came to my house every week and trained him in basic obedience on leash and off leash. Don’t let her size or gender fool you, she can man handle a big dog; she did mine! Cody, being a hard-headed dog, had a tough time settling into someone else being in charge but Ashley worked with him patiently and expertly. Cody is now a well mannered, trained dog thanks to Ashley.
When we got our female German Shepherd last December I knew we would eventually be contacting Ashley again for her services. It’s always a joy to work with Ashley and have her help in training my dogs. I’ve appreciated her advice on how to achieve a more peaceful household with 4 dogs. I would recommend her to anyone looking for training. I have already recommended Ashley to a few of my friends who’ve needed training and they say nothing but great things as well!

As a family who has long believed in adopting dogs, we adopted a 5 year old great dane mix from the Great Dane Rescue of the Carolinas. We named him Stanley and when he came into our home we quickly discovered he was a wild animal who would not come when called and took us on several chases around the neighborhood when he got loose. After a few experiences of having no control over a 110 lb dog in public, we reached out to Ashley for help.

Ashely started leash training with Stanley once a week. Stanley is a stubborn dog who knows how to use his weight to get his way. It took around two to three sessions and we started to see him comply to commands. He quickly learned commands like “heel” and “sit” while on leash. He eventually learned to “come” and “stay” while on leash and became a good dog to have as a family member. He struggled with obedience to commands like “come” and “stay” while off leash and we really wanted to have a dog who would listen to us when we didn’t have a leash on him.

We were hesitant to do off-leash training at first because we didn’t understand the use of an electronic collar. At first, we felt that using an electronic collar was borderline cruel. When we looked at it as the dog’s “conscience” that required some assistance from us, we became much more comfortable. We learned that proper use of the equipment results in obedience to every command. We now have the model dog who is obedient even when he’s not wearing his “conscience”. He now comes every time we call and trots to us with his tail wagging.

Ashley understands how dogs think and how to get dogs to listen. We’ve had other dogs in the past and done training in other places. Working with Ashley was a huge help and the convenience of having her come to our home was amazing. Stanley was a big stubborn dog. We lost several face-offs with him before Ashley came around. Sometimes training meant he needed more correction than we wanted to give, but Ashley knew how much correction was appropriate. Thanks to Ashely, we are now comfortable taking him into public and even having him off leash because we know he will listen. She has helped turn him into a model dog that is a big part of our family in every way.

We can’t thank you enough for everything you’ve done for our sweet little Shanti. Her transformation has been absolutely incredible and your love for her and all the time and training you spent on her is so special. It is a gift we will treasure always.
